The Microsoft Teams Advanced Communications add-on for Microsoft Teams has been announced in April 2021.
In the past months, there was some confusion about this license because some features (voice recording, meeting analytics) were expected to require the Advanced Communications license but, after some complaints from customers, the requirement has been removed.
There are also some talks about Advanced Communications license baing a requirement for advanced Teams Live Events (that up to the 30th of June 2022 are still included in the other licenses, as for the table below).
Note: the Advanced Communications license is on a per-user base but, eventually, only the meeting organiser needs it to access the additional features
So, what is left in it?
Advanced Communications add-on for Microsoft Teams Features:
- Custom pre-join screens for meeting, including company logo in the pre-join and lobby screens
- Customized backgrounds for Together mode ( Custom Together Mode scenes in Teams )
- Deploy company customised Teams policy packages
