Microsoft Teams – Call Queue – Ringing Tones and Ringback Tones from All Over the World – Replace Default Music on Hold

Every time you define a new Call Queue in Microsoft Teams you are required to upload an Audio File or to use the “Play Default Music” to use as Music on Hold

I can say that a large part of companies require to replace the Default Music with the national Ringing Tone (called also Audible Ring Tone and the Ringback tone)

Users prefer to hear the ringing tone they are used to instead of a music

Finding the right Ringback Tone could be an issue because there is no international standard, so every country has its own version of it

I have tried to create a schema and a deposit of files of ringback tones from all around the World that you can use for your Call Queues

A few notes:

• I have used a single file for all the countries that have the same ringback tone. The name of the file is visible only to the Teams Admins, but eventually rename it to match the country you need
• Some countries have more than one ringback tone. From the point of view of associating it to a call queue, any ringback tone is fine, it is just for the user experience
• In very few cases I have used the nearest ringback tone to the real one just because the difference in the cadence was not relevant
